Injectors tested and selectively replaced

With diesel engines, power loss, smoke formation, or irregular running are often immediate reasons to replace injectors. However, complete replacement is not always necessary.

Recently, we tested a complete set of injectors on a CAT C18 engine used in a ship blasting machine. Measurements showed that four injectors were indeed out of specification and needed to be replaced. Two injectors were still functioning within tolerance and, after inspection, were reinstalled.

At SDK Diesel Support, we only replace what is technically necessary. Not a standard “everything new” approach, but a targeted method based on measurements and diagnostics.
