Diesel Mechanic (Caterpillar)

What will you do as a Diesel Mechanic at SDK?

Depending on your knowledge and skills, you will work independently or together with a colleague in our workshop or on-site. You will carry out maintenance on Caterpillar engines in the maritime and industrial sectors. On both mechanical and (preferably) electronic aspects, you ensure that our customers’ engines run smoothly again.

Your tasks include:

• Replacing water pumps and carrying out repairs.

• Troubleshooting and fixing faults.

• Overhauling complete engines.

• Advising customers on use and maintenance.

• Reporting verbally and in writing on the work performed.

• Independently preparing for scheduled tasks.

What do we expect from you?

• Work experience in diesel technology is most important to us. A diploma is nice, but not essential.

• An MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Internal Combustion Engines, or Diesel Technology is a plus.

• Knowledge of mechanical and electronic (Caterpillar) diesel engines.

• Driven, ambitious, and service-oriented.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to occasionally work abroad (always in consultation).
